The project COVID-19 AND THE MUNICIPALITIES IN NORTH MACEDONIA: WILL THE MUNICIPALITIES REQUEST NEW FINANCIAL FUNDS THROUGH BORROWING FROM THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT? is implemented by CEA.

The project aims to contribute to the debate on the local effects of the crisis and the impact of COVID-19 on local governance, local funding and to guide policy makers on how to build more resilient regions. It will additionally provide an overview of the municipalities’ fiscal options for dealing with the effects of COVID-19.

The duration of the project is 6 months, from 01.09.2020 till 28.02.2021.

The total budget of the project is 330.000 mkd.
