Project: Creating employment pathways for rural youth

The Center for Economic Analyses – CEA, together with the FFRM, are implementing the project “Creating employment pathways for rural youth” funded by the European Union through the IPA Human Resources Development Program.

The project goal is to facilitate the labour market inclusion of the rural youth form the Northeast planning region. The project supports the social inclusion of young people from the rural areas, through increasing their employability skills, training and support for improved labour market inclusion through practical placement and hand-on-learning, contributing to the economic and social development of the municipalities in the Northeast planning region.

Within the scope of the action, during 2016, three local offices/job clubs within the premises of three municipalities of the Northeast region: the Municipality of Lipkovo, Kriva Palanka and Staro Nagorichane there were established and equipped. The unemployed youth from the rural areas had the opportunity of practical training, as a transitional opportunity from unemployment to better labor market inclusion. Followed by a year of successful operation and established work infrastructure, the ownership of the equipment, was transferred to the Municipalities of Lipkovo, Staro Nagoricane and Kriva Palanka, providing an opportunity for future independent operation.
